Different Teams and groups in agile delivery explained

1–2 minutes

Squad

A squad is a small, self-sufficient & empowered team, usually 6-12 people, that focuses specific tracks within a project and works together to deliver value quickly.

Squads are further organized into tribes to ensure alignment and scalability.

Tribe

A tribe is a bigger group of several squads, usually 100 people, working on related stuff.

Chapters and guilds are also created to ensure knowledge sharing and development among multiple squads.

Chapters

Chapters are created within a tribe where people with same skill discuss the challenges, best practices etc.

Guilds

These are cross tribe groups where people with common interests come together and share challenges and best practices.
